Setting Up Your Brand Brain
Your Brand Brain is the foundation of everything Pono does for you. It stores your brand identity, tone, audience, and strategic context so the AI can generate outputs that are tailored specifically to your business.
What Is Stored in a Brand Brain?
- Business name and description
- Target audience and customer personas
- Brand tone and voice (e.g., confident, friendly, formal)
- Products or services
- Goals and growth priorities
- Logo and brand assets
Setting Up During Onboarding
The first time you open Pono, the onboarding flow will guide you through creating your Brand Brain step by step. See Onboarding Walkthrough for details.
Completing Your Brand Brain After Onboarding
If you skipped any steps or want to add more detail:
- From the Dashboard, tap your brand name or the Brand Brain icon in the navigation.
- Tap Edit Brand Brain.
- Work through each category — fill in any empty fields and refine existing ones.
- Tap Save when done.
Expanding Brand Brain Categories
Some Brand Brain categories can be expanded by the AI. Tap the Expand button next to a category to have the AI generate additional context based on what you've already entered.
Completing the Brand Brain Setup
Once all required sections are filled in, tap Complete Brand Brain Setup. This finalizes the profile and makes the full AI feature set available.
Best Practices
- Review your Brand Brain regularly — especially if your business evolves, you launch new products, or your target audience changes.
- The more detail you provide, the more accurate and on-brand your AI outputs will be.
- You can have multiple Brand Brains if you manage more than one brand. See Managing Multiple Brands.
