Onboarding Walkthrough
When you create a new Pono account, the onboarding flow walks you through setting up your workspace. This typically takes 5–10 minutes and ensures the AI is tuned to your brand from day one.
What the Onboarding Covers
The onboarding is a guided, multi-step process that collects the information needed to build your first Brand Brain. You will be asked about:
- Your business type — Is this for a company, personal brand, or agency?
- Business name and description — What does your business do?
- Target audience — Who are your ideal customers?
- Goals and priorities — What do you want to achieve with Pono?
- Brand tone — How does your brand communicate? (e.g., professional, casual, bold)
- Existing assets — Upload a logo or profile photo if you have one.
Tips for a Better Setup
- Be specific about your audience. The more detail you provide, the more targeted your AI outputs will be.
- Choose a tone that matches how you actually communicate. You can always adjust this later.
- Don't skip steps. Each step feeds directly into your Brand Brain. Incomplete setup leads to generic AI responses.
Can I Skip Onboarding?
You can skip individual steps during onboarding, but we strongly recommend completing it fully. You can always return to Settings > Brand Brain to fill in or update any information.
After Onboarding
Once onboarding is complete, you will land on your Dashboard, which gives you a central view of your documents, roadmaps, and tasks. Your Brand Brain will already be active and ready to use.
