What is Brand Brain?
Brand Brain is Pono's core intelligence layer. It is a detailed profile of your brand that the AI references every time it creates content, generates plans, or answers questions on your behalf.
Why Brand Brain Matters
Without Brand Brain, AI tools produce generic outputs that could apply to any business. With Brand Brain, every AI response is shaped by:
- Who you are — your business identity, mission, and values
- Who you serve — your target audience and customer personas
- How you sound — your brand tone and communication style
- What you sell — your products or services
- Where you're headed — your goals and growth priorities
The result is AI-generated content, documents, and strategies that actually sound like your business.
What Brand Brain Contains
| Section | What It Stores |
|---|---|
| Business Profile | Name, industry, description, founding story |
| Audience | Target demographics, pain points, motivations |
| Tone & Voice | Communication style, personality traits, writing examples |
| Products / Services | What you offer and how you position it |
| Goals | Short- and long-term business objectives |
| Assets | Logo, brand colors, imagery guidelines |
Brand Brain and AI Output Quality
The AI uses Brand Brain as the context for every generation. A well-completed Brand Brain produces outputs that require minimal editing. An incomplete Brand Brain produces generic results.
Think of Brand Brain as the briefing document you would give a skilled human copywriter or strategist — the more detail you provide, the better their work will be.
Multiple Brand Brains
If you manage more than one brand — whether client brands (agency use) or separate business lines — you can create a separate Brand Brain for each. See Managing Multiple Brands.
