Creating a Brand Brain

Your first Brand Brain is created automatically during onboarding. You can create additional Brand Brains at any time for other brands or clients you manage.

Create a Brand Brain from the Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Brand Brains in the sidebar (or bottom navigation on mobile).
  2. Tap + New Brand Brain (or the + button).
  3. Choose whether this brand is a Business or Personal Brand.
  4. Follow the setup wizard:
    • Enter the brand name
    • Describe the business or brand in 1–3 sentences
    • Define the target audience
    • Select or describe the brand tone
    • Upload a logo (optional but recommended)
  5. Tap Create Brand Brain to finalize.

The Setup Wizard

The wizard walks you through each section of the Brand Brain in sequence. You can:

  • Use the AI Assist button on any field to have Pono suggest content based on what you've already entered
  • Skip a section and return to it later from the Edit Brand Brain page
  • Use Expand on any category to let the AI generate a more detailed version of your input

Completing the Brand Brain

After the initial wizard, you will be prompted to Complete Brand Brain Setup. This step reviews all sections and flags any that are incomplete. Completing this step unlocks the full AI feature set for that brand.

Brand Brain Status Indicators

Status Meaning
Incomplete Required fields are missing; some AI features may be limited
Active Brand Brain is fully set up and ready to use

Tips

  • Write the brand description in first person as if you are describing your own brand. ("We help small business owners...") This gives the AI the most natural context.
  • Be as specific as possible about your audience — age range, profession, challenges, and buying behavior all help.
