Sharing Tasks

You can share individual tasks with people outside your Pono workspace — useful for getting client sign-off, sharing progress with stakeholders, or delegating work to a contractor.

Generating a Share Link

  1. Open the task you want to share.
  2. Tap the ... (more options) menu.
  3. Select Share Task.
  4. A unique share link (public token) will be generated.
  5. Copy the link and share it via email, Slack, or any messaging channel.

What the Share Link Provides

Anyone with the link can view the task — including the title, description, status, due date, and assignee. They do not need a Pono account to view it.

Note: The share link is read-only. Recipients cannot edit the task or access any other part of your workspace.

Revoking a Share Link

If you need to stop sharing a task:

  1. Open the task detail view.
  2. Tap Manage Share Link.
  3. Select Revoke Link.

The previous link will immediately stop working.

Sharing vs. Collaborating

  • Sharing gives view-only access to a single task via a public link.
  • Collaborating means adding a person as a team member with full access to the workspace. See Inviting Team Members.

Use sharing for one-off external visibility. Use team membership for ongoing collaboration.
