Sharing Tasks
You can share individual tasks with people outside your Pono workspace — useful for getting client sign-off, sharing progress with stakeholders, or delegating work to a contractor.
Generating a Share Link
- Open the task you want to share.
- Tap the ... (more options) menu.
- Select Share Task.
- A unique share link (public token) will be generated.
- Copy the link and share it via email, Slack, or any messaging channel.
What the Share Link Provides
Anyone with the link can view the task — including the title, description, status, due date, and assignee. They do not need a Pono account to view it.
Note: The share link is read-only. Recipients cannot edit the task or access any other part of your workspace.
Revoking a Share Link
If you need to stop sharing a task:
- Open the task detail view.
- Tap Manage Share Link.
- Select Revoke Link.
The previous link will immediately stop working.
Sharing vs. Collaborating
- Sharing gives view-only access to a single task via a public link.
- Collaborating means adding a person as a team member with full access to the workspace. See Inviting Team Members.
Use sharing for one-off external visibility. Use team membership for ongoing collaboration.
