Using AI to Write Documents

Pono's AI can write entire documents for you, revise drafts, and refine specific sections — all informed by your Brand Brain so the output stays on-brand.

Write It For Me

Write It For Me is the fastest way to generate a complete document from a single prompt.

  1. In AI Chat or from the Documents page, tap Write It For Me.
  2. Describe the document you need. Be specific:
    • Include the document type (proposal, report, strategy, email, etc.)
    • Include any key points you want covered
    • Mention the audience if it differs from your default target audience
  3. The AI generates the full document using your Brand Brain context.
  4. Review, edit inline, or ask the AI to revise sections.
  5. Save to your document library.

Prompting Tips for Better Documents

Less effective More effective
"Write a marketing plan" "Write a 90-day social media marketing plan for a B2B SaaS company targeting HR managers. Focus on LinkedIn and email."
"Draft a proposal" "Draft a client proposal for a 3-month brand identity project. Budget is $8,000. Include scope, timeline, and deliverables."
"Write about our product" "Write a product overview page for our inventory management software. Tone should be confident and clear, no jargon."

Revising AI-Generated Content

After the AI generates a document, you can:

  • Edit directly in the document editor
  • Ask the AI to revise — highlight a section and type a revision instruction (e.g., "Make this more concise" or "Rewrite this for a non-technical audience")
  • Expand a section — ask the AI to add more detail to any paragraph
  • Summarize — ask the AI to condense a long section

Using AI Within an Existing Document

While editing any document:

  1. Highlight the text you want to work on.
  2. A toolbar will appear with AI options.
  3. Choose Rewrite, Expand, Summarize, or type a custom instruction.

Document Templates

Pono includes AI-powered document templates for common business needs. Access them via Documents > Discover Docs and select a template to generate a pre-structured document with prompts for each section.
