Themes & Appearance

Pono lets you customize the look of your workspace to suit your preferences or reduce eye strain.

Accessing Appearance Settings

  • Desktop: Go to Settings > Themes.
  • Mobile: Tap the menu icon, then tap Themes.

Available Themes

Theme Description
Light Clean white interface with dark text
Dark Dark background with light text — easier on the eyes in low light
System Default Automatically matches your device's system-level light/dark setting

Changing Your Theme

  1. Go to Settings > Themes (or Appearance).
  2. Tap your preferred theme option.
  3. The change applies immediately — no need to save.

System Default Mode

Choosing System Default means Pono will automatically switch between light and dark mode based on your device settings. This is recommended if you already manage your device's appearance settings.

Theme Preference Per Device

Your theme preference is stored per device. If you use Pono on multiple devices, you may need to set the theme separately on each one.
